For many years the Biochemical Laboratories at Indiana University have provided materials for
stable isotope analyses for the research community. We would like to hear from you if you have questions or suggestions with regard to existing or potential future reference materials. Feedback from endusers keeps us on our toes and helps us maintaining high quality service.

Some of you may wonder why a few stable isotope ratios for individual compounds have changed. Since 2006 we have been recalibrating selected materials using pairs of international standards for anchoring and attenuation of isotopic scales. Also, along with the development of new materials, we repeated measurements of previously available materials, thus resulting in amended average values.
